Atasha M. James

Chief Executive Officer

Mrs. Atasha M. James Co-Founded Equity Now, Inc. in 2017, a nonprofit accelerating change in education, finances, and agriculture. She quickly discovered that the nexus to accelerate transformation in all areas of our community is through educating our young people.

Portia Cameron

Chief of Staff

Portia Cameron is the Chief of Staff at Legends Charter School, where she leads strategic operations and cross-departmental coordination to ensure the CEO's vision is executed with precision and impact. She brings over a decade of experience in student affairs, operations, and equity-focused education leadership.

Ashari James

Executive Administrator

Ashari James is known for her sharp intellect, global perspective, and deep commitment to educational equity. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Political Science at Howard University.

Aminah Williams

Special Programs Officer

Aminah Williams is a dynamic and results-driven leader with over a decade of experience spanning strategic leadership, compliance, human resources, IT management, and organizational development across public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

Anita Williams

Assistant Director, Edventures

Anita Williams is a dedicated educational leader and administrative professional whose career spans healthcare, school operations, and youth development. Raised in Buffalo, New York, Anita's early commitment to service shaped her belief in the power of care, consistency, and community.

Joshua Pauley

Programs Specialist

Joshua Pauley works in the Office of the CEO at Legends Charter School as a Systems and Data Strategist. In this role, he helps design, bolster, and maintain the school's digital curriculum tools while also supporting its accreditation and compliance systems.
