How the Legends Lottery Works

Fair, transparent, and random. Everyone has an equal chance. Here's the timeline.

Our Admissions Philosophy

⚖️

Fair

Random computerized lottery. No preference for wealth, background, or connections. Equal chance for all families.

🔍

Transparent

Published dates, clear process, and public lottery drawing. You know exactly what to expect.

🎲

Random

No test scores, no auditions, no essays. Pure randomness (except sibling priority).

Special Priority: Siblings

Sibling Priority in Lottery

If you have a child already attending Legends, your other children receive priority in the lottery. This helps keep families together.

How it works:

  • • Siblings are drawn first in their respective grades
  • • Same fair lottery within sibling group
  • • Significantly increases chance of admission
  • • Contact admissions if you have questions

What If You Aren't Selected?

Waitlist Option

Even if you don't win the lottery, you can join our waitlist.

  • Seats sometimes open mid-year
  • Waitlist moves based on openings
  • No commitment required

Common Questions About the Lottery

Do you give preference to any students?

The lottery is random for all applicants. The only preference is sibling priority—if you have a child at Legends, your other children are drawn first.

Is there an application fee?

No. All applications through ScribChoice are free. Legends does not charge any admissions fees.

Can I apply for multiple grades?

Yes. Through ScribChoice, you can apply for any grades your child is eligible for. You can rank them by preference.

What if my child has special needs?

Legends is open to all students, including those with IEPs and 504 plans. We provide special education services and accommodations. Contact admissions to discuss your child's needs.

When will I know the results?

Lottery results are posted on ScribChoice in March. Check your account for acceptance, waitlist, or not selected status.
