This year's celebration has evolved into a more dynamic and engaging format. The 6th Annual Legends Charter Day Awards Celebration is an awards-style program highlighting and honoring the outstanding achievements of our students, staff, and community.

About Legends Public Charter School
Legends Public Charter School is a K-8 charter school founded in 2019 by Equity Now, Inc. and serving scholars in Prince George's County, Maryland.
Our mission is to develop scholars who think critically, lead boldly, and transform their communities through rigorous, joyful, and culturally responsive education.
Today, more than 900 scholars call Legends home. We employ the two-adult classroom model—a distinguishing feature that allows educators to differentiate instruction and provide personalized support for every child.
Legends is operated by Equity Now, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing educational equity across the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region.

Legends Public Charter School Announces 6th Annual Charter Day Awards Celebration on June 2
Hyattsville, MD – Legends Public Charter School is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Legends Charter Day Awards Celebration, taking place Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Prince George's Publick Playhouse.
This year's celebration has evolved into an awards-style program honoring the outstanding achievements of students, staff, and community — including five Legendary Teacher Awards presented live on stage by named sponsor partners.
Sponsorship and ticket sales directly fund teacher excellence, curriculum innovation, family engagement, and personalized scholar support — ensuring that Legends continues to serve more than 900 scholars with rigor, joy, and cultural responsiveness.
